REPORTS: Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets Football Hits with Sensational Update on Star Man

Georgia Tech QB Haynes King Set to Release Children’s Book

Georgia Tech quarterback Haynes King has secured a new NIL opportunity—his own children’s book. Haynes King: A Helluva Quarterback is now available for pre-order through Exit 56 Publications. The book is one of four featuring college football stars and highlights King’s journey in the sport.

“A football player is all I ever wanted to be,” an excerpt reads. “I didn’t grow up playing video games. I loved dressing up in college football uniforms with full pads and playing ALL day.”

A Texas native, King transferred to Georgia Tech from Texas A&M. Before that, he starred at Longview High School, leading his team to its first state championship in 80 years in 2018. Since arriving in Atlanta, he has started for the Yellow Jackets for two seasons, throwing for nearly 5,000 yards with 41 touchdowns and 18 interceptions.

Author Andrew Vodopia collaborated closely with King and his family to bring the project to life. He saw it as a passion project and was inspired to share King’s story with a wider audience.

“I saw two women wearing King #10 jerseys,” Vodopia recalled in the book’s foreword. “I approached them and asked about the jerseys. It turns out it was his mother and grandmother. I introduced myself carefully, not wanting to interfere with their pregame experience. Jodie, Haynes’s mother, assured me it was okay to talk and was interested in learning more about the books. I showed her a previous book, and she took down my name.”

Haynes King: A Helluva Quarterback is set for release on May 1. Autographed copies are priced at $50, while unsigned editions cost $25, available through Exit 56’s website.
