Gonzaga’s Jun Seok Yeo Enters Transfer Portal
Gonzaga forward Jun Seok Yeo has entered the transfer portal, according to Verbal Commits.
The sophomore from Seoul, South Korea, played in 39 games over two seasons with the Bulldogs, including one start during his freshman year in 2023-24. Yeo logged 173 minutes in his first season, but his playing time significantly decreased in 2024-25.
In his sophomore season, Yeo appeared in 14 games, totaling just 57 minutes. His best performance came on November 15, when he scored a season-high eight points on 3-of-4 shooting in a dominant 113-54 win over UMass-Lowell. His only other double-digit minute game came on February 15 against Pepperdine, where he scored five points and grabbed three rebounds in a 107-55 victory.

Yeo’s role diminished as the season progressed, and after not seeing any action in Gonzaga’s two West Coast Conference Tournament games, he played just two minutes in the Bulldogs’ 89-68 NCAA Tournament win over Georgia. Yeo missed his only 3-point attempt and committed one foul in the game.
Yeo is the second Gonzaga player to enter the transfer portal in two days. Sophomore Dusty Stromer also declared for the portal shortly after the Zags’ second-round exit to Houston in the NCAA Tournament. The 30-day window to enter the portal opened on March 24.
Before joining Gonzaga, Yeo was the standout player in a tournament featuring future NBA stars like Chet Holmgren and Victor Wembanyama. At the 2021 U19 FIBA World Cup in Latvia, Yeo averaged 25.6 points and 10.6 rebounds per game, leading the South Korean national team.
Yeo also played for Korea University in Seoul and attended the NBA Global Academy in Australia. He participated in the 2020 Basketball Without Borders Global Camp and competed with the Australian Centre of Excellence at the 2019 NBA Academy Games.
