Giannis Antetokounmpo Comments on Loss to Knicks

Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo addressed the media following the Bucks’ 116-107 defeat to the New York Knicks on Friday night at home in Wisconsin.

The loss marked the Bucks’ fifth consecutive defeat to the Knicks, dropping their record to 40-33 on the season. The Bucks are currently in the sixth seed in the Eastern Conference.

After the game, Antetokounmpo was candid about the performance, saying, “They are a better team than us. They’ve already beaten us twice, so we need to come out with more intensity. We need to hit first. I don’t think we did that for 48 minutes. We have to do better moving forward.”

Antetokounmpo played 35 minutes and finished with 30 points, nine rebounds, and seven assists, shooting 11-for-17 from the field but missing all three of his three-point attempts. Despite his strong individual performance, the Bucks struggled to overcome top-tier teams like the Knicks, Cavaliers, and Celtics this season.

"In 1st half Bridges…knew I'm gonna stay with Towns…he took advantage of that…shoot…facilitate…In 2nd half Anunoby––great player…That's why they're a good team, when one guy doesn't go they have other people that can carry that load"

The Bucks will next face Trae Young and the Atlanta Hawks on Sunday. Meanwhile, the Knicks, who are in third place in the Eastern Conference with a 46-27 record, will host the Portland Trail Blazers on Sunday.
