Wisconsin Women’s Basketball Loses Another Player to Transfer Portal

Wisconsin sophomore guard D’Yanis Jimenez has entered the transfer portal, adding to the ongoing player departures from the women’s basketball team. Despite the hiring of a new head coach, defections continue within the program.

Jimenez, who averaged just under two points, a little over one rebound, and 1.6 assists per game this season, had a strong freshman year, posting nearly seven points and 2.5 rebounds per game. She also earned multiple Big Ten Conference Freshman of the Week honors.

Her decision to transfer follows in the footsteps of players like Serah Williams, Carter McCray, Ronnie Porter, Tessa Grady, and Gracie Grzesk.

Earlier this month, Wisconsin hired Robin Pingeton, former head coach at Missouri, to lead the team, replacing Marisa Moseley, who stepped down after the season.
