Titans Make Bold Move for WR in Latest Mock Draft
The Tennessee Titans are preparing for the 2025 NFL Draft, and analysts are beginning to release their mock drafts ahead of the event.
In Dalton Wasserman’s most recent mock draft for Pro Football Focus, he predicts the Titans will select Miami quarterback Cam Ward with the first overall pick. “Although nothing is certain until it’s official, it seems the Titans are focused on Cam Ward, the highest-graded quarterback in college football for 2024. While selecting players like Travis Hunter or Abdul Carter would be beneficial, the Titans had the lowest passing grade last season and currently have Will Levis and Brandon Allen as their quarterback options,” Wasserman notes.
Later in the first round, Wasserman takes a less conventional approach. With the 29th overall pick, he envisions the Titans trading back into the first round, moving up six spots to acquire Missouri wide receiver Luther Burden III from the Washington Commanders.
“Tennessee gives Cam Ward an additional weapon in Burden, who excels at creating big plays with the ball in his hands, similar to players like Deebo Samuel or DJ Moore. The Titans ranked 29th in yards after catch per reception last season, so Burden’s addition would significantly boost that ranking,” writes Wasserman.
By selecting both Ward and Burden, the Titans would address two of their top needs, forming a potential dynamic offensive duo for the future. After losing Nick Westbrook-Ikhine to the Miami Dolphins and with Tyler Boyd yet to re-sign, the Titans added Van Jefferson from the Pittsburgh Steelers but still need another wide receiver. Burden could become the top receiving option alongside Cam Ward, helping to revamp Tennessee’s offense.
