Grammy Winner Takes a Shot at Cowboys Owner Jerry Jones Over Team’s Struggles

Grammy-winning singer takes aim at Cowboys owner Jerry Jones for team’s failures

It seems like most Dallas Cowboys fans have had enough of Jerry Jones. The franchise owner, who can never resist speaking to the media, has once again made headlines, and it’s starting to wear thin.

Jones, who recently tried to exclude Micah Parsons’ agent from contract talks, not only believes he’s the most knowledgeable general manager in the NFL but also loves claiming that this year will finally be the one that matters.

This approach didn’t go unnoticed, as Jones received a jab from three-time Grammy winner Kelly Clarkson. Clarkson, a lifelong Cowboys fan from Texas, appeared on the Not Gonna Lie with Kylie Kelce podcast and mocked Jones for his endless optimism without delivering results.

“I was like, ‘Oh, OK. It’s different from the last ‘now’s the time.’ Very different from last year’s time, which was also the time,’” Clarkson quipped about Jones’ repeated claims.

Jones, who often reminds people that he built “America’s Team” piece by piece, wasn’t the only one in Clarkson’s sights. She also poked fun at host Kylie Kelce, who is married to former Eagles center Jason Kelce. When Kelce mentioned she had a soft spot for Giants fans who also despise the Cowboys, Clarkson sarcastically asked why her team’s name is always in their mouths.

Dallas is undergoing significant changes, including new head coach Brian Schottenheimer bringing in a “Stronger” mentality. Clarkson, like many Cowboys fans, hopes this is finally the year Jones is right. If that’s the case, she might have to give him credit and admit they only won “Because of You.”
