OSU will host a Texas defensive lineman for an official
The season for official visits is approaching, and the Beavers aim to build on a strong start for their 2026 recruitment class.
So far, they have secured commitments from quarterback Deagan Rose, running back LaMarcus Bell, wide receiver Cynai Thomas, and defensive lineman Noah Tishendorf, each of whom has at least one Power 5 offer.
The months of May and June present Oregon State with an opportunity to showcase what Beaver football has to offer to their top prospects and distinguish themselves in the recruitment of various players, including Friendswood (TX) defensive lineman Jordyn Crites, who they’ll host during the weekend of June 6th.
“I’m excited about the coaching staff and the level of football,” Crites told BeaverBlitz. “They focus on developing their players, and I’m really looking forward to that.”
Standing at 6-foot-6 and weighing 250 pounds, Crites has started to connect with both coaches and players at the Valley Football Center.
“It’s been great; I’ve been building solid relationships with the coaches and even some players,” Crites noted. “Nik Fisher reached out to me the same day I received the offer.”
After transferring to Friendswood from Edmond Memorial (OK), Crites currently holds eight scholarship offers and plans to take official visits to Louisiana and Texas State along with Oregon State.
When considering his future, Crites is looking for “somewhere that offers a good education and a program with a track record of developing players and sending them to the NFL.”
He hasn’t set a commitment date yet, as he wants to complete all of his official visits before making a decision.
