2026 QB Jyron Hughley Commits to West Virginia
West Virginia has secured a commitment from a quarterback for their 2026 recruiting class.
This past weekend, the Mountaineers hosted two top quarterback prospects, and they’ve already landed one of them. On Saturday morning, Jyron Hughley, a 6’1″, 180-pound quarterback from Cardinal Newman High School in West Palm Beach, Florida, pledged to West Virginia. Hughley chose the Mountaineers over offers from schools like Bowling Green, Florida Atlantic, Florida State, Georgia Southern, Indiana, Miami, Penn State, and many others.
As a junior, Hughley completed 61% of his passes (101/164) for 1,353 yards and 15 touchdowns, with only three interceptions. He also rushed for 835 yards and 10 touchdowns on 87 carries.
Hughley is now the fourth commit in West Virginia’s 2026 recruiting class, joining running back Jett Walker, wide receiver Jeffar Jean-Noel, and tight end Sam Hamilton.
