On Saturday, Auburn secured a commitment from a skilled lineman hailing from Georgia.
Parker Pritchett, a 3-star offensive lineman from Carver High School in Columbus, Georgia, has officially pledged his commitment to Hugh Freeze and the Tigers. He shared the news in a post on X:
According to 247Sports’ composite rankings, Pritchett is ranked as the No. 55 interior offensive lineman in the nation. He is the first offensive lineman to commit to Auburn’s 2026 class, which now features seven players, including Jemison (Ala.) standout Hezekiah Harris, the nation’s No. 11 edge rusher, and JaMichael Garrett from New Orleans, who is ranked as the No. 8 linebacker.
Auburn is eager to improve after two disappointing seasons under Freeze. The Tigers ended the 2023 season with a 6-7 record, including a defeat in the Music City Bowl, and fell to 5-7 in 2024, missing out on postseason play.
On a positive note, the 2025 high school recruiting class is shaping up well, currently ranked No. 6 in the country and featuring Malik Autry, the No. 4 defensive lineman nationally. Additionally, the Tigers secured quarterback Jackson Arnold (from Oklahoma) in the offseason to help address one of their most pressing needs.
