Yaxel Lendeborg, recognized by 247Sports as the top transfer player in the country, has officially committed to Michigan.

The confirmation of his transfer was reported by 247Sports on Saturday. He spent the last two seasons at UAB after beginning his career at the junior college level with Arizona Western.

Several sources suggest that he plans to explore the 2025 NBA Draft, but it appears he is set to join Michigan.

Standing at 6 feet 9 inches, Lendeborg led the Blazers in all key statistical categories, averaging 17.7 points, 11.4 rebounds, 4.2 assists, 1.7 steals, and 1.8 blocks per game.

He earned a spot on the All-American Athletic Conference first team and was named the AAC Defensive Player of the Year for 2024-25. Lendeborg helped the Blazers reach the NIT quarterfinals, where they were narrowly defeated by UC Irvine in overtime.

Michigan reached the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament, ending coach Dusty May’s inaugural season in Ann Arbor with a loss to the top-seeded Auburn.
