Despite the positive strides the Buffalo Bills have made this offseason, there are still some clear roster needs that must be addressed in the upcoming 2025 NFL Draft. With the event just weeks away, positions like wide receiver, cornerback, and edge rusher remain areas of focus for Buffalo.

The encouraging news is that the draft class is loaded with talent—and the Bills have several prospects and potential trade options to consider. In a recent mock draft by NFL.com’s Chad Reuter, he projected Buffalo making a move up the board by trading with fellow AFC contender, the Baltimore Ravens, in order to land a dynamic wideout—either Isaiah Bond or Matthew Golden from Texas.

“Buffalo could really use a downfield playmaker in this draft, so either Golden or Texas teammate Isaiah Bond could be on its radar,” Reuter noted. In this scenario, the Bills would move up three spots by trading a fourth-round pick in exchange for a sixth-rounder. Meanwhile, the Ravens take advantage of the swap by securing one of the top safeties in the draft.

“History repeats itself,” Chad Reuter writes. “The Ravens take Starks despite underwhelming pre-draft athletic testing—similar to what they did with Kyle Hamilton three years ago.”

It’s rare to see AFC playoff contenders strike draft-day deals that could benefit one another, especially so soon after facing off in the postseason. But it’s not without precedent. Just last year, Buffalo traded back with the Kansas City Chiefs, a move that helped Patrick Mahomes land Texas wideout Xavier Worthy.

Could we be seeing a similar scenario play out again—this time with a new twist involving Buffalo?
