CHENEY, Wash — The Athletics Department at Eastern Washington University has officially launched the Rise of the Red Collective to enhance opportunities for student-athletes to benefit from their name, image, and likeness (NIL). This initiative adds to the existing NIL resources at Eastern Athletics, which already includes the Eagle Marketplace powered by Opendorse and the Influxer NIL Apparel line.
The collective will enable Eastern student-athletes to earn money through NIL opportunities by collaborating with local organizations, such as charities and businesses, to raise awareness for important causes, nonprofits, brands, and special events.
Designed to support athletes from all 14 intercollegiate teams at Eastern Washington, further details about supporting our student-athletes can be found on the official website at eagrise.com.
“As we strive to help our student-athletes succeed both in sports and academics, it’s vital that we also offer support and guidance for their entrepreneurial goals,” stated Director of Athletics Tim Collins. “Being the Region’s Polytechnic, we are dedicated to providing our athletes with real-world experience as they prepare for their professional futures.”
The website Goeags.com/nil will serve as an online resource hub with guides, FAQs, and tools to assist in navigating NIL agreements and partnerships. It will also facilitate connections with industry professionals, local businesses, and alumni eager to engage in NIL initiatives.
