Titans Expected to Secure Dynamic QB-WR Pair in NFL Draft
The Tennessee Titans have a chance to significantly enhance their roster in the 2025 NFL Draft, setting themselves up for both immediate and future success. While they made key free-agent signings, including offensive line additions Dan Moore and Kevin Zeitler, the team still lacks a true franchise quarterback and a set of dangerous offensive weapons.
That could change with their upcoming draft picks. In his seven-round mock draft for The Sporting News, Vinnie Iyer predicts the Titans will land a potentially game-changing quarterback-wide receiver duo, starting with selecting Cam Ward as the No. 1 overall pick.
“The Titans are honing in on their next franchise quarterback. Ward’s arm strength, athleticism, and experience make him a strong candidate to help them move on from Will Levis,” Iyer writes.
Along with securing Ward, Iyer also forecasts the Titans adding one of the draft’s top wide receivers, Matthew Golden from Texas, with the 35th overall pick.
“The Titans need a speedster to stretch the field and complement Calvin Ridley, and in this mock, Golden boosts the early potential of Cam Ward,” Iyer adds.
This combination would be a perfect scenario for the Titans. Not only would they secure a potential franchise quarterback, but they’d also acquire a wide receiver who can impact all areas of the field. Golden, known for his ability to create separation and excel in the deep passing game, could quickly become the Titans’ top receiver. After a stellar 2024 season with 58 catches for nearly 1,000 yards and nine touchdowns, Golden could step into a prominent role immediately.
With offensive playmakers like these, the Titans could quickly transform into a team to watch, especially in a division that has recently been dominated by one team.
