Michigan State Secures Commitment from FAU Transfer Forward
Michigan State men’s basketball has finally made its move in the transfer portal, landing a key addition for next season.
Multiple reports confirm that former Florida Atlantic small forward Kaleb Glenn has committed to join the Spartans.
The 6-foot-7, 210-pound Glenn spent last season with the Owls after transferring from Louisville, where he began his college career. He led FAU in scoring with 12.6 points per game and averaged 4.8 rebounds, while shooting an impressive 41% from three-point range on 3.4 attempts per game. Spartans fans may remember Glenn scoring six points when FAU visited East Lansing in December.
According to 247Sports, Glenn is rated as a four-star transfer and ranked as the No. 15 small forward currently in the portal.
A product of La Lumiere School in Indiana, Glenn was also a four-star recruit in the class of 2023. He was ranked the No. 2 overall prospect in Indiana and the No. 16 small forward nationally by the 247Sports Composite. He previously played alongside former Spartan Xavier Booker and current MSU guard Jeremy Fears Jr.
During his freshman year at Louisville, Glenn appeared in 32 games and made 11 starts, averaging 3.9 points and 3.6 rebounds per contest.
Glenn is expected to fill the void left by Frankie Fidler on the wing, addressing a major need for Michigan State heading into the 2025–26 season.
This marks the first transfer addition for the Spartans, bringing some relief to fans who had grown anxious over the program’s inactivity in the portal.
While head coach Tom Izzo initially held off on portal activity to focus on his current roster during the postseason, Michigan State has since lost three players to transfer. Glenn’s commitment is a promising step, but the Spartans are expected to stay active in the transfer market to round out their roster.
