Vanderbilt Picks Up Third Transfer Portal Addition
With less than two weeks remaining before the NCAA basketball transfer portal closes, Vanderbilt’s men’s basketball team is starting to make moves, while the women’s program continues to stay relatively quiet.
The Commodores added their third transfer on Wednesday, as former TCU guard Frankie Collins announced his commitment to Vanderbilt, according to a report from On3. He joins recent portal additions Jalen Washington (North Carolina) and Mason Nichols (Jacksonville State).
Collins, who was limited to just nine games last season due to a broken foot, still managed to average 11.2 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 4.4 assists in 30 minutes per game. He will arrive in Nashville with one year of eligibility remaining.

Additionally, On3 reports that Vanderbilt is one of five finalists for former Chattanooga guard Honor Huff, who is nearing a decision.
Meanwhile, the women’s team, led by head coach Shea Ralph, hasn’t been active in the portal — but for good reason. The Commodores are returning most of their core roster, including standout scorers Mikayla Blakes and Khamil Pierre. With the team largely intact, Ralph can afford to be selective with any portal additions.
Vanderbilt is also making headlines on the recruiting trail. Top high school prospect McKenna Woliczko, a 6-foot-2 forward ranked No. 5 nationally by On3 and No. 6 by 247Sports, has scheduled an official visit to campus for May 2–3. Woliczko was a starter on the gold medal-winning USA U-17 team at the 2024 FIBA World Cup.
The transfer portal will remain open until April 22, leaving a short window for both programs to finalize roster moves.
