George Mason Transfer Jalen Haynes Commits to Cincinnati Bearcats Basketball
A major addition to the Bearcats’ frontcourt.
Cincinnati has secured its third commitment of the offseason with the addition of veteran forward Jalen Haynes from George Mason. After a recent visit, the 6-foot-8, 250-pound forward has officially committed to joining the Bearcats.
Haynes brings one year of eligibility and a solid résumé, having averaged 14.1 points and 6.9 rebounds per game last season while shooting an efficient 55.4% from the field. Known for his traditional low-post style, Haynes also shot 60.4% from the free-throw line and went 3-for-17 from beyond the arc in 2024.
His physical presence and experience make him a strong candidate to start immediately for a Cincinnati frontcourt that, at the moment, includes only Halvine Dzellat and Tyler McKinley. The Bearcats have been in need of a reliable inside force, and Haynes appears poised to fill that void.
