Purdue Football Secures Commitment from Highly Sought-After 4-Star WR in 2025 Class
Purdue added a major piece to its 2025 recruiting class on Saturday with the commitment of wide receiver Jalil Hall, a highly recruited prospect out of Drexel Hill, Pennsylvania. Hall had received offers from 15 programs before choosing the Boilermakers.
Standing at 6-foot-4 and 185 pounds, Hall is considered one of Pennsylvania’s top recruits. According to 247Sports, he’s ranked as the No. 35 wide receiver nationally and the No. 5 overall player in the state. Though previously listed as a three-star prospect, his talent and interest from top programs have many outlets labeling him a four-star caliber player.
Hall made his announcement on Saturday morning with a post on social media that simply read, “Recruitment Closed #BoilerUp,” alongside a photo of him in a Purdue uniform.

Originally committed to West Virginia, Hall had signed a National Letter of Intent with the Mountaineers in December 2024. However, he decommitted in March and reopened his recruitment. Purdue extended an offer on April 8, and Hall wasted little time, committing just days later.
Hall had a strong 2024 season at Bonner-Prendergast Catholic, finishing with 43 receptions for 766 yards and two touchdowns, along with 83 yards on the ground. He chose Purdue over other notable programs including Syracuse, Maryland, Duke, Nebraska, Pitt, Rutgers, Virginia, and Wisconsin.
With the Boilermakers going through an offseason coaching transition, their 2025 class had been relatively thin. The addition of Hall gives the class a significant boost, especially at the skill positions. Purdue now has 15 players in its incoming high school group, which includes early enrollees, signed players, and current verbal commitments.
