Hugh Freeze is preparing to start his third season as head coach of the Auburn Tigers football team. After missing out on a bowl game last year, Freeze and the Tigers are eager to address some unfinished business in 2025.
Auburn will kick off their 2025 season on the road against a Big 12 team, traveling to Waco, Texas, to face the Baylor Bears. Their first home game will be against Ball State on September 6.
On Saturday, Auburn held their annual spring game, known as “A-Day.” However, following the game, they received disappointing news about a player they considered crucial for the upcoming season.
According to Hayes Fawcett on social media, Auburn safety Terrance Love intends to enter the Transfer Portal.
At 6’2” and 200 pounds, Love has played in 22 games for the Tigers over the past two years and has two years of eligibility left.

Love participated in 10 games for the Tigers last season. Hailing from Atlanta, Georgia, he contributed to the team as a safety during his freshman year. In high school, he was a versatile defensive back.
While at Langston Hughes High School, he helped lead his team to a GHSA 6A state championship, recording a total of 69 tackles.
This off-season, several players have departed from Auburn. Notable names include offensive tackle Percy Lewis, safety Caleb Wooden, and quarterback Hank Brown. On the other hand, a significant addition for the Tigers is quarterback Jackson Arnold, who comes from Oklahoma.
