Will Wade is putting in significant effort to strengthen his new team, and over the weekend, NC State secured a new addition to their roster for the 2025-26 season.
Tre Holloman, a former standout at Michigan State, officially announced his commitment to the Wolfpack on Sunday. He will be joining an NC State program that is currently undergoing a rebuild. Wade, the ex-head coach of LSU who previously guided McNeese State to an NCAA Tournament victory against Clemson, is transforming NC State, and Holloman is expected to play an important role in the upcoming season.

During his three seasons under Tom Izzo, Holloman played in 106 games. This past season, he started 16 games but primarily served as Michigan State’s sixth man after Jase Richardson secured his spot as the top scorer in the starting lineup.
Despite coming off the bench, Holloman was Michigan State’s third-leading scorer, averaging 9.1 points per game. He also contributed 3.7 assists (second on the team) and 1.9 rebounds, with a shooting percentage of 37% from the field.
Holloman is the third player to commit to Will Wade’s NC State program for the 2025-26 season and is the first player not from McNeese to join the new head coach. He will be joining guards Quadir Copeland and Alyn Breed, both of whom followed Wade from his last position.
Each member of this trio has received a 4-star transfer rating from 247 Sports, highlighting their potential as NC State aims to bounce back and return to the NCAA Tournament.
