FARGO, N.D. – North Dakota State’s men’s basketball team has officially welcomed Trevian Carson, a junior college transfer from Des Moines, Iowa, into its 2025 recruiting class, as announced by head coach David Richman on Friday.

Carson, a 6-foot-4 guard, played for two seasons at Des Moines Area Community College (DMACC) from 2023 to 2025. This past season, he earned the title of ICCAC Player of the Year and was recognized as a first-team NJCAA All-American.

“Trevian is a tough, versatile guard who can contribute to our success in various ways,” Richman stated. “His character and experience will greatly benefit our program right away, and we are eager to welcome him to the Bison Family.”

During his sophomore year, Carson averaged 14.9 points and 7.8 rebounds per game, boasting an impressive shooting percentage of 58% overall and 39% from beyond the arc. He also averaged 3.6 assists, 1.8 steals, and 1.2 blocks per game.

Carson played a key role in helping DMACC achieve a 29-5 record and secure a spot in the national tournament. He ranked among the top 10 in the conference for scoring, rebounds, assists, and steals this season.
