The Texas Tech football program is putting together an excellent 2026 recruiting class, and that includes the latest commit, safety Aaron Bradshaw.

While the Texas Tech football program has received significant praise this offseason for its 2025 transfer portal class, head coach Joey McGuire and his staff are also building a strong 2026 high school signing class. This effort continued on Friday when one of Texas’s top defensive backs announced his commitment to the Red Raiders.

Aaron Bradshaw, a 6-foot-2, 185-pound safety from Fort Worth, Texas, declared on social media that he will be playing for Texas Tech. This decision had been anticipated for a couple of weeks due to the solid relationship he has formed with the Tech coaching staff.

Bradshaw received his offer from Texas Tech back in January and also has offers from several other schools, including Houston, TCU, LSU, Arizona State, Colorado, Michigan State, Missouri, Pittsburgh, SMU, Texas, Texas A&M, West Virginia, and others.

As reported by 247Sports, Bradshaw is a 3-star recruit ranked as the No. 37 safety in the nation and the No. 64 overall player in Texas, regardless of position. Additionally, Rivals.com has him rated as a 4-star prospect and the No. 28 player in Texas.

This is a significant commitment for head coach Joey McGuire, as Bradshaw adds to a quietly impressive 2026 high school recruiting class at Texas Tech.

Currently, there are ten high school players committed to the Red Raiders for 2026, with eight of them playing on the defensive side of the ball.

Overall, this class is ranked 22nd in the country and fourth in the Big 12, trailing only Kansas, Iowa State, and Arizona State.

The Red Raiders are also hosting several other recruits this weekend, both high school players and transfers, during their annual spring game. So, Bradshaw’s commitment may not be the only exciting news from McGuire’s program this weekend!
