NC State basketball has officially added former Michigan State guard Tre Holloman to its roster for the 2025-26 season.

After a few days of speculation following Holloman’s commitment to the Wolfpack, new head coach Will Wade confirmed the signing on Friday.

“It’s fantastic to bring in a player who’s spent three years competing in a power conference and at such a prestigious program,” Wade said in a statement about the 21-year-old. “Tre is a natural leader, having served as a captain at Michigan State last year. He’s an excellent floor general who can create opportunities for his teammates, but he’s also a capable scorer in his own right.”

“I’m thrilled to have him on our team and can’t wait to see the impact he will make in our locker room.”

Holloman, a four-star recruit out of Cretin-Derham Hall High School in Saint Paul, Minn., back in 2022, joins the Wolfpack as a four-star transfer. Over his time at Michigan State, he showed significant improvement, posting a career-high 9.1 points, 1.9 rebounds, and 3.7 assists per game during his junior season.

Holloman becomes the third addition to Wade’s inaugural NC State transfer class, joining former McNeese State guards Quadir Copeland and Alyn Breed.
