Ravens Recognized as Perfect Fit for Lions Star WR

Ravens Viewed as Ideal Landing Spot for Lions Star WR

A star wide receiver from the Detroit Lions could be on the move during the NFL Draft, and the Baltimore Ravens are being mentioned as a potential destination.

As the Ravens head into the draft, they boast one of the NFL’s top rosters, looking to make key additions that could help them push past the AFC elite in 2025. Despite their strong lineup, the Ravens are still in need of more firepower, particularly to compete with teams like the Kansas City Chiefs and Patrick Mahomes.

David Latham of Last Word On Sports agrees, placing Baltimore among the best fits for a potential trade involving Detroit Lions wide receiver Jameson Williams.

“The Ravens have a solid group of receivers, but they lack someone who can truly stretch the field,” Latham writes. “They never fully replaced Marquise Brown, and Jameson Williams could step into that role. With an MVP-caliber quarterback in Lamar Jackson, Williams might be the final piece needed to push the team to a Super Bowl.”

Williams, drafted by the Lions in the first round of the 2022 NFL Draft from Alabama, has steadily improved since joining the league. He took a major step forward in 2024, racking up over 1,000 receiving yards in his first full season while averaging more than 17 yards per catch. Additionally, he scored eight total touchdowns, showcasing his versatility as both a deep threat and a playmaker in the ground game.

Adding a player like Williams would be a huge boost for Baltimore’s offense. His blazing speed would complement Derrick Henry’s power running, and the Ravens could find creative ways to incorporate Williams into the run game, similar to how Detroit used him.

As one of the NFL’s top dual-threat playmakers, Williams would be an exciting addition to an already stacked Ravens offense.
