Michigan Panthers Sign DT Taylor Stallworth
The Michigan Panthers have bolstered their roster by adding defensive tackle Taylor Stallworth.
With a solid defensive line already in place, featuring veterans Walter Palmore and Garrett Marino, the Panthers are strengthening their front seven. Palmore, in particular, has been a standout this season with a 72.8 defensive grade and made an impact last week with a key sack against Memphis.
Stallworth, a former South Carolina standout with 87 tackles and a sack over four college years, joins Michigan as he looks to revive his pro career. After going undrafted in 2018, he signed with the New Orleans Saints, making their active roster and posting eight tackles and a sack as a rookie. Stallworth later moved to the Colts, where he had some of his best NFL years in 2020 and 2021, recording 28 tackles and 3.5 sacks over two seasons.

Stallworth is an NFL vet, having spent the last several years on multiple teams. Has 52 tackles & 4.5 sacks to his name in the NFL.

However, Stallworth has struggled to secure a long-term spot with other teams, including the Chiefs, Texans, Panthers, Titans, and Commanders. Now, he’s getting another shot with the Michigan Panthers as the team approaches Week 5 of the season.
This signing raises questions about the future of T.J. Carter and Levi Bell, who have rotated at defensive tackle this year. Stallworth won’t be playing this week, as he only joined the team yesterday.
