
Red Deer Rebels Acquire Zane Torre from Seattle Thunderbirds
Rebels Strengthen Forward Depth
The Red Deer Rebels have bolstered their forward lineup for the 2025-26 WHL season by acquiring Zane Torre from the Seattle Thunderbirds.
On Tuesday, the Rebels announced the trade, sending a 4th-round pick in the 2025 WHL Prospects Draft (via Everett) along with a conditional 4th-round pick in the 2028 WHL Prospects Draft to Seattle in exchange for Torre.
Torre was selected by Seattle in the second round, 43rd overall, at the 2023 WHL U.S. Priority Draft. During the 2024-25 season, he played for Shattuck St. Mary’s 16U AAA, putting up 53 points (27 goals, 26 assists) in 49 games.
A native of Ladera Ranch, California, Torre also represented Team USA at the 2024 Winter Youth Olympic Games in South Korea, helping his team win a gold medal. He registered five points (3 goals, 2 assists) in four games.
