Arizona Cardinals Sign Former Florida State Offensive Lineman After NFL Draft
Former Florida State offensive lineman Jeremiah Byers has found a new home as an undrafted free agent. Despite hundreds of players being selected in the recent NFL Draft, many undrafted players are still trying to secure their spot at the professional level, including several from Florida State, which had only two players drafted.
Shortly after the draft concluded, Byers, a former Seminole offensive tackle, confirmed via Instagram that he has signed with the Arizona Cardinals. He’ll be joining former FSU teammates like running back Trey Benson, safety Jammie Robinson, and outside linebacker Josh Sweat on the roster.

In his two seasons with Florida State, Byers played in 23 games and started 22 at right tackle. He earned FSU’s Offensive Newcomer of the Year award in 2023 and received the Bobby Bowden Leadership Award in 2024. Despite battling injuries last season, Byers was a key part of the Seminoles’ ACC Championship-winning team and helped anchor one of the nation’s top offenses, led by Heisman candidate quarterback Jordan Travis.
The 6-foot-4, 331-pound tackle originally began his college career at UTEP, where he started 30 games out of 33 appearances at right tackle over four seasons with the Miners.
