Purdue Boilermakers Hit with Update via NCAA Transfer Portal

Another Purdue football player has entered the NCAA transfer portal. Wide receiver Jayden Dixon-Veal is leaving West Lafayette after two seasons.

Another player has opted to leave the Purdue football program this spring, as wide receiver Jayden Dixon-Veal has entered the NCAA transfer portal. He announced his decision in a social media post, which he later deleted.

Dixon-Veal is no longer part of Purdue’s 2025 roster.

A junior college transfer, Dixon-Veal spent two seasons with the Boilermakers, with his most productive year being 2023, during which he recorded 16 receptions for 142 yards and a touchdown. In the 2024 season, however, he only made three catches for 23 yards.

Since he participated in just three games in 2024, he retained his redshirt season, allowing him one year of eligibility at his next school.

More than 20 players from Purdue have entered the NCAA transfer portal since the end of spring practice, prompting coach Barry Odom and his staff to actively recruit from the portal this offseason to build a roster for the 2025 season.
