Jalen Brunson Opens Up After Knicks Lose Game 5

After the New York Knicks suffered a 106-103 loss to the Detroit Pistons in Game 5 on Tuesday night at Madison Square Garden, Jalen Brunson was candid in his post-game remarks. The Pistons’ win kept them alive in the series, which now stands at 3-2 in favor of the Knicks.

Brunson had a tough night, finishing with 16 points, three rebounds, and seven assists, but struggled with his shooting, going 4-for-16 from the field and 1-for-4 from beyond the arc in 36 minutes of play.

"Offensively, I didn't make good decisions personally."

When speaking to the media, the All-Star point guard took responsibility for his performance, saying, “Offensively, I didn’t make good decisions, personally. The ball wasn’t going in for me. I just have to control what I can control and move forward from there.”

Despite the loss, the Knicks still have the chance to close out the series in Game 6 on Thursday night in Detroit. A defeat would push the series to a decisive Game 7 back in New York on Saturday.
