Gonzaga has secured its first transfer commitment for the 2025 cycle, landing Adam Miller, a sharpshooter from Arizona State. The 6-foot-3 guard, who has one year of eligibility left, confirmed his commitment by posting a photo in a Gonzaga uniform on Instagram, following an initial report by On3. Miller’s decision marks Gonzaga’s first player from the 2025 transfer portal class, just 39 days after the initial wave of player transfers began.
Miller, a former four-star recruit, began his college career at Illinois in 2020 before transferring to LSU after his freshman season. He spent the past two seasons at Arizona State, where he started 51 of 53 games, averaging 9.8 points, 2.3 rebounds, and 1.9 assists while shooting 42.9% from beyond the arc. His previous stint at LSU was interrupted by an ACL injury, but he returned in the 2022-23 season, posting 11.5 points per game.

With Miller’s arrival, Gonzaga now boasts two players who were named Illinois’ Mr. Basketball—Miller and redshirt junior Braden Huff. The Bulldogs are also returning key players like Huff and Graham Ike in the frontcourt, Colgate transfer Braeden Smith at point guard, and new additions like Virginia transfer Jalen Warley, injured Steele Venters, and top recruit Davis Fogle.
Miller’s shooting ability will be a crucial addition for Gonzaga, especially after the team lost its top five three-point shooters. Last season, the Bulldogs’ three-point shooting was their lowest in the Mark Few era, so adding another proven perimeter threat was a clear priority. Miller had an impressive performance against Gonzaga last November, hitting a couple of threes and contributing 8 points, 3 rebounds, and 3 assists during a close game in Spokane.
Gonzaga’s recruiting momentum didn’t stop with Miller, as they also secured a commitment from highly-rated center prospect Parker Jefferson, a 6-foot-10 recruit from the class of 2025.
This move gives Gonzaga one of the first transfer commitments in the high-major programs for this cycle, with only Stanford and Marquette yet to bring in a transfer. In the West Coast Conference, all teams except Saint Mary’s have secured at least one transfer from the portal.
