Gophers Schedule Official Visit with 2026 CB Shortly After Scholarship Offer
Jordan Lampkins, a rising 2026 cornerback from Bolingbrook, Illinois, has become the latest recruit to secure an official visit with the Minnesota Gophers. He’ll be visiting during the team’s annual Summer Splash event, set for June 13-15.
Lampkins received a scholarship offer from the Gophers on Thursday afternoon, and he quickly followed up by scheduling his official visit. Standing at 6-foot-1 and weighing 180 pounds, Lampkins’ only other scholarship offers at this time are from Toledo, Bowling Green, and Sacramento State.
During his junior season at Bolingbrook High School, Lampkins registered 51 tackles, 8 tackles for loss, 3 pass breakups, and 1 interception. Although he dealt with some injuries, he is aiming for a strong senior year to boost his recruiting stock.
While Minnesota has already secured a commitment from four-star cornerback Justin Hopkins, Lampkins becomes just the second 2026 cornerback, alongside Darion Jones, to set an official visit with the Gophers.
