The Ohio State Buckeyes have secured a commitment from four-star wide receiver Kayden Dixon-Wyatt. Dixon-Wyatt, who chose Ohio State over offers from Oregon and Alabama, made his decision after multiple visits to the school.
His visits played a key role in his choice. Dixon-Wyatt shared with On3 that his first trip to Ohio State put them in strong competition with Oregon, but it was the second visit that solidified his decision. He praised the atmosphere at Ohio State, emphasizing the welcoming nature of the people and his strong relationships with coach Brian Hartline and head coach Ryan Day. The consistent communication from the coaching staff and their message of how important he was to the program had a significant impact on him.
The Buckeyes’ reputation for developing top-tier offensive talent, especially at the wide receiver position, was also a major factor in Dixon-Wyatt’s decision. He noted the impressive track record of Ohio State’s ability to produce standout receivers and quarterbacks, citing the program’s strong offensive system and player development.
Dixon-Wyatt could follow in the footsteps of Ohio State’s recent string of elite wide receivers, including Emeka Egbuka, Marvin Harrison Jr., Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Garrett Wilson, and Chris Olave. With this commitment, Ryan Day and the Buckeyes continue to build on their impressive wide receiver pipeline, adding another highly talented player to their roster.
