As a likely first-round pick, NBA scouts already have a solid understanding of what Carter Bryant could contribute to the league. However, they will have an additional opportunity to observe the Arizona freshman forward closely as part of the evaluation process.
Bryant is among 75 players invited to the 2025 NBA Draft Combine, scheduled for May 11-18 in Chicago. This event will feature player measurements, drills, and scrimmages, showcasing many of the top prospects for the upcoming draft.
Standing at 6 feet 8 inches, Bryant is one of two UA players included in the list of 106 early entrants for the draft, alongside guard Jaden Bradley. In the 2024-25 season, he averaged 6.5 points and 4.1 rebounds over 37 games (five starts), playing 19.3 minutes per game, with a shooting percentage of 46 overall and 37.1 from three-point range.
Both Bryant and Bradley, who had earlier announced their return to Arizona for the 2025-26 season, have until May 28 to withdraw from the draft and maintain their college eligibility. While Bradley is expected to come back, Bryant’s decision will depend on where scouts project him to be selected.
Many mock drafts predict him going in the first round in June, with The Ringer forecasting he’ll be picked 9th overall by the Houston Rockets. According to coach Tommy Lloyd, Bryant has also signed a revenue-sharing agreement with Arizona, but it seems unlikely he will return if he has a chance at being a lottery pick.
