The Wisconsin Badgers extended an offer to offensive lineman Grant Seagren, who previously transferred from Nebraska, as reported by various media outlets on Thursday.
Seagren walked on at Nebraska in 2023 after playing both tight end and defensive line in high school. He redshirted his freshman year but participated more in 2024, playing in seven games as both a left and right tackle.
Since entering the transfer portal, Seagren has attracted considerable interest, receiving offers from Rutgers, Kentucky, Washington State, and Wisconsin. With the Badgers losing left tackle Kevin Haywood to an ACL injury during spring practice, Seagren could be a good fit for their roster.
It’s noteworthy that Seagren has garnered attention from multiple teams since leaving Nebraska. Standing at six feet six inches and weighing 305 pounds, he could be a valuable addition to any squad. His versatility in playing on both sides of the line may open up unique opportunities for him.
