Milwaukee Bucks Legend Michael Redd Shares Heartfelt Message for Damian Lillard

Michael Redd, a Milwaukee Bucks legend, expressed his support for Damian Lillard after the star guard suffered a season-ending injury. Lillard, who completed his second season with the Bucks, averaged 24.9 points, 4.7 rebounds, 7.1 assists, and 1.2 steals per game, shooting 44.8% from the field and 37.6% from three-point range in 58 games. However, his season came to a halt during the first round of the playoffs against the Indiana Pacers, where he sustained a torn left Achilles tendon, leading to surgery on May 2.

In the wake of Lillard’s injury, Redd posted a heartfelt message on social media. On April 28, he wrote:

“Been thinking about this all day. Dame Lillard deserves his flowers right now.

Before we start analyzing what’s next for the Bucks, before the finger-pointing begins, before we dive into offseason plans… let’s take a moment to send positive energy @Dame_Lillard’s way.

Despite only two seasons in Milwaukee, he’s already one of the greatest to wear that jersey. More importantly, he’s facing a long rehab that will affect not just his basketball career but his everyday life for the next few months.

Dame isn’t just a top 75 player of all-time; he’s one of the best pound-for-pound players the game has ever seen. The clutch gene, the range, the leadership… all while giving his all, even as his body breaks down.

No matter what happens next, Dame has earned our respect, support, and appreciation.

Speedy recovery, 0. The game is better with you in it.”

Redd, one of the greatest players to ever suit up for the Bucks, shared his admiration for Lillard, and fans are sure to appreciate his support for the injured star.
