2026 RB Jonaz Walton Discusses Official Visits and Connection with Tennessee

2026 running back Jonaz Walton recently shared his thoughts on his upcoming official visits and his growing connection with the Tennessee Volunteers as the recruiting cycle heats up. Tennessee has been actively pursuing Walton, and he took the time to speak with Tennessee Volunteers on SI about his recruitment.

On his upcoming official visits:

“I’m still in the process of taking my official visits, and they’ll likely play a key role in where I decide to go.”

On his relationship with Tennessee:

“I first saw Tennessee play two years ago against South Carolina during the blackout game, which was amazing. That was the loudest stadium I’ve ever been in. Coach Sims is one of the best running back coaches I’ve been around. The people at Tennessee, from the players to the staff, are all great. They’re genuinely nice and authentic.”

Walton has already visited Stanford officially and is planning trips to Alabama, Florida, Notre Dame, and Tennessee in the coming months.

Ranked as a four-star prospect, Walton is currently the 124th-best player in the nation, the 10th-best running back in the 2026 class, and the 18th-best player in Georgia according to the composite rankings.
