Bill Belichick is set to receive some professional PR support. The University of North Carolina is on the verge of hiring former Chicago Bears PR chief Brandon Faber to help the school’s new football coach, especially following the attention surrounding Belichick’s girlfriend, Jordon Hudson, who had been managing his public image and acting as his “creative muse.”

Faber is being hired directly by UNC, not Belichick himself. His official title is yet to be determined, but he will effectively serve as the head of football communications. Faber is also set to attend the ACC coaches meetings, which start today in Amelia Island, Fla., signaling that his hiring is nearing its final stages.
According to Breer, the fact that North Carolina is handling the hire suggests that Belichick and the school are working together to address the current situation.
