Five-Star CB Jermaine Bishop Jr. Commits to Texas Longhorns for 2026 Class
The Texas Longhorns have secured a major addition to their 2026 recruiting class with the commitment of five-star cornerback and athlete Jermaine Bishop Jr. from Willis, Texas. Bishop Jr. chose Texas over offers from top programs like Texas A&M, Florida, and USC, becoming the seventh commit for the Longhorns in this class.
Ranked highly by 247Sports, Bishop Jr. is primarily listed as a cornerback but is regarded as one of the most versatile athletes in the 2026 class. His ability to excel on both offense and defense has made him a standout prospect. He now joins a Texas recruiting class that includes four-star quarterback Dia Bell and three-star recruits such as wide receiver Chris Stewart, cornerback Hayward Howard Jr., long snapper Trott O’Neal, offensive tackle Max Wright, and offensive lineman Nicolas Robertson.
Bishop Jr. also received interest from a number of other programs, including Michigan, Oklahoma, Penn State, Tennessee, and many more. He has official visits planned for USC on June 6, Houston on June 12, and Texas on June 20.
