Gonzaga Expected to Land Spanish Guard Mario Saint-Supery
Spanish guard Mario Saint-Supery, a 19-year-old international prospect, is reportedly set to join the Gonzaga men’s basketball team for the 2025-26 season.
According to Eurohoops.net, the 6-foot-3 point guard is “likely destined to choose Gonzaga,” adding to the growing trend of young European players opting to come to the U.S. and chase their NBA dreams through the NCAA.
Under the guidance of head coach Mark Few, Gonzaga has a strong history of developing international talent into NBA-level players. While it remains to be seen if Saint-Supery will follow that path, he already brings professional experience to the table, having played in Spain’s top-tier Liga ACB this past year.
Saint-Supery played for BAXI Manresa, a team competing in both Liga ACB and the Champions League. While on loan from Unicaja, he earned All-ACB Best Young Team honors, averaging 8.0 points, 2.2 assists, and 2.0 rebounds per game. He also posted impressive shooting numbers, hitting 45.9% of his shots from the field and 35.9% from beyond the arc on 2.1 attempts per game.
Additionally, Saint-Supery earned a spot on the Spanish national team for the FIBA EuroBasket 2025 Qualifiers and made a name for himself at the 2024 U18 FIBA EuroBasket, where he averaged 21.4 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 6.3 assists per game.
If Saint-Supery commits to Gonzaga, he would become the Bulldogs’ 11th scholarship player for the 2025-26 season. Gonzaga’s backcourt will feature Arizona State transfer Adam Miller, Colgate transfer Braeden Smith, and rising junior Emmanuel Innocenti. The 2025 recruiting class also includes three-star recruit Parker Jefferson and four-star prospect Davis Fogle.
Saint-Supery, known for his excellent passing and strong basketball IQ, fits the mold of the type of point guard Gonzaga looks for in their system.
