Michigan Basketball Adds Another Commitment for 2025 Class

Michigan men’s basketball secured another commitment for the 2025 class on Friday, as 6-foot-6 forward Patrick Liburd announced his decision on Instagram. The Fort Lauderdale (FL) Sagemont Prep School prospect is a three-star recruit according to 247Sports and is ranked as the 56th-best small forward in his class. Though he’s not listed in the Composite rankings, Liburd brings solid potential to the Wolverines.

Liburd initially committed to Coastal Carolina in September but de-committed in early May. With his addition, Michigan now has three commitments for the 2025 class, joining five-star Trey McKenney and four-star Winters Grady.

In addition to Michigan, Liburd received offers from several schools, including Cornell, FIU, Jacksonville State, Murray State, and North Florida.

Liburd will join the Wolverines next season, and with May bringing in four transfer players, Michigan’s recruiting class is shaping up. The attention now turns to UAB transfer Yaxel Lendeborg, whose decision regarding the NBA Draft is still pending.
