Juan Soto Responds in Style to Yankees Fans

Juan Soto Responds to Yankees Fans’ Boos

Juan Soto made sure to address the boos from New York Yankees fans during his return to Yankee Stadium. It was his first time back in the Bronx since leaving the Yankees to join the New York Mets. And as expected, the fans let him know exactly how they felt.

When Soto was introduced, a chorus of boos echoed throughout the stadium, accompanied by a “f*** Juan Soto” chant. As the game went on, some fans even turned their backs on him, showing their displeasure for his departure.

Soto had won a World Series with the Yankees just the previous season before signing a massive $765 million contract with the Mets in the offseason, a move that shocked both the MLB and Yankees fans alike as they watched a star player leave for a rival team.

Despite the hostile reception, Soto remained composed. During the game, he tipped his helmet to the crowd as a gesture of respect. Afterward, he acknowledged the intensity of the boos, admitting they were among the loudest he’d ever experienced.

“I think so,” Soto said when asked if they were the loudest boos he’s heard. “They were really loud.”

In the game, Soto had three walks, a groundout, and a flyout, though he did manage to score a run. Ultimately, the Yankees won the first round of the Subway Series, defeating the Mets 6-2.
