Three-Star QB Cade Scott Commits to Tulane, Reclassifies to 2025
Tulane Green Wave football has secured a highly sought-after three-star quarterback from Kentucky, as Cade Scott has officially committed to the team and will reclassify to the 2025 class, joining Tulane this fall.
Head coach Jon Sumrall and the Green Wave staff have been hard at work on the recruiting trail, making key additions to strengthen the roster for both the upcoming season and future years. Offensive coordinator Joe Craddock has been particularly focused on evaluating high school quarterbacks.
Tulane’s efforts have not only involved flipping top recruits but also bringing in several players reclassifying to the 2025 class. Now, Cade Scott, a talented quarterback from Meade County High School, is part of that group.

Scott, a 6-foot-5, 200-pound quarterback, made his commitment official via social media (X, formerly Twitter), confirming that he would join Tulane this fall after reclassifying to the 2025 class. A fun coincidence: Scott’s high school mascot is also the “Greenwave,” echoing the path of former Tulane star running back Tyjae Spears.

Scott had planned to begin his senior year this fall, but after visiting Tulane’s campus in April and receiving an offer in March, he decided to fast-track his college career. Over 16 career games, Scott has accumulated 3,500 passing yards and 800 rushing yards, according to Crescent City Sports.
Throughout his recruitment, Scott received offers from several schools, including Bowling Green, Wake Forest, Colorado State, Eastern Kentucky, Georgia State, and Marshall. He also visited several Power Five campuses.
A three-star recruit on 24/7 Sports, Scott is also a multi-sport athlete. In addition to football, he played shooting guard for his high school basketball team and competed in track and field, running the 100-meter, 200-meter, and 300-meter sprints, as well as competing in long jump and triple jump.
With his impressive athletic profile, Scott will have the chance to join the Green Wave sooner than expected, providing the coaching staff with a valuable opportunity to evaluate his skills as he prepares to enter college football.
