Report: Tennessee to Complete Deal for Highly-Rated Young Linebacker

Tennessee Football’s Bold Move to Secure Braylon Outlaw in Surprising Transfer Commitment

Braylon Outlaw, a linebacker from Pike Road High School in Alabama, recently shared his excitement about his official visit to Tennessee with Vols On SI.

As the summer approaches, the Tennessee Volunteers are already making strides in their 2026 recruiting class, and with the official visit season soon kicking off, the team is poised to gain momentum ahead of the upcoming season.

Outlaw, a three-star recruit, is one of the commits who spoke with Vols On SI. While currently ranked as a three-star, many believe he has the potential to rise in the rankings.

“I’m excited to explore the campus more and see all that Tennessee has to offer,” Outlaw said.

The linebacker mentioned he’s looking forward to spending time with several coaches he’s already built strong relationships with, including head coach Josh Heupel, and assistant coaches Banks, Inge, and Forrest.

Although Outlaw is already committed to Tennessee, he noted that he plans to visit another SEC school that has also caught his attention.

“I’m also looking to visit Ole Miss,” he added.
