ESPN Analyst, Former Pelicans Player Kendrick Perkins Wrong About Knicks After Game 3
Former New Orleans Pelicans player and ESPN analyst Kendrick Perkins misjudged the New York Knicks following their Game 3 win.
The Knicks found themselves in a tough situation on Sunday night, heading into Game 3 against the Pacers in Indiana, down 2-0 in the series. Despite having home-court advantage, it seemed irrelevant after the Pacers had pulled off two shocking wins. Things looked bleak for New York, especially when the Pacers held a 20-point lead late in the second quarter.
However, the Knicks made a remarkable comeback, outscoring the Pacers by 16 points in the fourth quarter, with Karl-Anthony Towns scoring 20 of his points in the final period, leading them to a 106-100 victory. At one point, it seemed like Indiana was on the verge of winning, which led Perkins to share a critical take that quickly became outdated.

Towns finished with 24 points and 15 rebounds, playing a crucial role in New York’s victory, while Jalen Brunson made all 10 of his free throws and scored 23 points despite being in foul trouble. This performance proved Perkins’ criticism was wrong.

While Perkins may have been mistaken, the Knicks still have plenty of work ahead of them to regain control of the series. With the score now 2-1, Game 4 remains in Indiana, scheduled for Tuesday at 8:00 p.m. EST.
