Isles Day to Day: Mathieu Darche Faces Unfortunate Injury Update Ahead of Islanders Training Camp

Bo Horvat out 4-6 weeks with ankle injury, expected to be fully recovered for Islanders Training Camp

During his introductory press conference on Thursday, New York Islanders General Manager and Executive Vice President Mathieu Darche provided an update on Bo Horvat’s condition.

Darche revealed that Horvat sustained an ankle injury while representing Canada at the IIHF World Championship, and his recovery is anticipated to take four to six weeks. However, he is expected to make a full recovery.

“Bo returned from the world championship, where he performed exceptionally well,” Darche commented. “He received high praise from the coaching staff over there. It’s just a minor ankle injury, nothing serious—four to six weeks. He’s already in rehab, so there are no major concerns.”
