Reports: Illinois Receives Major Boost with Three-Star Defensive Back Transfer Decision

Three-Star Defensive Back Raderrion Daniels Sets Visit with Illinois Football

Raderrion Daniels, a three-star defensive back from Lake Cormorant, Mississippi, has announced he will visit Illinois’ campus in Champaign on June 17.

As is typical for many recruits, June is the preferred time for college visits, as the school year ends and the weather is more inviting. This trend applies to recruits of all rankings, whether five-star, four-star, or three-star.

Daniels, a 6-foot-1, 180-pound cornerback, put up solid numbers during his sophomore season, recording 33 tackles, an interception, and seven pass breakups. His impressive performance has caught the eye of several Big Ten and SEC programs, including Purdue, Ole Miss, Arkansas, LSU, Missouri, Texas A&M, and Vanderbilt.

Entering his junior year, Daniels holds at least 29 offers and has lined up several college visits for the summer. In addition to Illinois, he is set to visit Louisville on June 6.

While more visits may follow, Daniels’ experience at Illinois, especially if coach Bret Bielema and his staff leave a strong impression, could significantly impact his recruitment.
