Lions Sign Veteran Lineman Following Frank Ragnow’s Retirement
The Detroit Lions have bolstered their offensive line with the addition of veteran lineman Trystan Colon after the retirement of center Frank Ragnow.

Reports from Wednesday confirmed that the Lions have agreed to terms with Colon on a one-year deal, though financial details were not disclosed.

Colon, who entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent in 2020 with the Baltimore Ravens, spent three seasons with the Ravens before joining the Arizona Cardinals in 2023. Over the past two years with Arizona, he appeared in 31 games and started 11 of them.

In total, Colon has made 15 starts across 51 career games. Last season, he set a career high with seven starts, all at right guard, for the Cardinals.

Colon has experience playing both center and guard. He filled in at center during the last two seasons with Arizona and was primarily a center during his time with the Ravens.

In 2024, Colon played 322 snaps for the Cardinals, earning a 59.6 overall grade from Pro Football Focus. He performed better as a pass blocker (69.2) than as a run blocker (55.5).

With Ragnow, a four-time Pro Bowl center, announcing his retirement after seven seasons, the Lions are now looking for a replacement. Veteran Graham Glasgow and 2025 second-round pick Tate Ratledge are currently competing for the starting center spot, with both taking first-team reps during organized team activities.
