Auburn Tigers Host 2027 Four-Star Tight End Prospect
The Auburn Tigers made a strong impression during a visit from four-star tight end recruit D’Angelo White. A member of the 2027 class, White hails from Cleveland and plays for Villa Angela-St. Joseph High School. He’s currently ranked as the No. 5 tight end in the 2027 class, according to Auburn Rivals.
White was impressed with his first visit to Auburn, noting the quality of the facilities and the welcoming atmosphere.
“It was a great visit,” White said. “The facility was very nice, and the coaching staff was really cool. They use the tight ends in a very good way.”
White is highly sought after, with offers from several major programs, including Alabama, Cincinnati, Florida, and Illinois, in addition to Auburn. The Tigers’ tight ends coach, Ben Aigamaua, is leading Auburn’s recruitment efforts.
Auburn already has strong talent at tight end with Maryland transfer Preston Howard and Brandon Frazier, who is recovering from a leg injury. If White returns for future visits, he’ll have the chance to build relationships with these players, which could help smooth his transition if he decides to join the Tigers in the future.
For now, Auburn will have to fend off other top programs competing for White’s commitment, though he’s still a ways off from making a final decision.
