Penn State Secures Commitment During Official Visit Weekend
Amauri Polydor, a 3-star safety from Maryland, has committed to Penn State’s 2026 recruiting class. The announcement came on Friday, as Polydor made an official visit to the Nittany Lions’ football program.
At 6’1″ and 170 pounds, Polydor is ranked as the 22nd-best player in Maryland by the 247Sports Composite. He chose Penn State over offers from programs like Michigan State, West Virginia, Maryland, Indiana, Virginia Tech, and Syracuse. Polydor also has an official visit scheduled to Michigan State in June.
Last season, Polydor played at Mt. Zion Prep in Maryland, where he recorded 40 tackles and eight interceptions. For his senior year, he will transfer to St. Frances Academy in Baltimore, a school known for producing NFL talent like Chris Braswell, Blake Corum, and Jaelyn Duncan.
Penn State Hosts Third Official Visit Weekend
After hosting most of the 2026 recruiting class last week, Penn State welcomed a new group of top prospects for its third official visit weekend. Among the standout recruits was 4-star defensive lineman Luke Wafle, a highly coveted prospect in the 2026 class.
Wafle, who plays at New Jersey’s Hun School, is ranked as the top player in the state and the sixth-best edge rusher nationally, according to the 247Sports Composite. He’s already visited Ohio State and has upcoming trips to USC and Texas. A potential advantage for Penn State: Wafle’s brother, Owen, recently transferred from Michigan to join the Nittany Lions.
Another defensive prospect visiting was 4-star edge rusher Carter Meadows from Gonzaga College High in Washington, D.C. Ranked as the nation’s ninth-best defensive end by 247Sports, the 6’6″ Meadows is also a standout basketball player. He has Penn State among his final four choices, alongside Ohio State, Michigan, and South Carolina.
On the offensive side, 4-star lineman Grayson McKeogh from La Salle College High in Philadelphia is another player to watch. Ranked seventh in Pennsylvania by 247Sports, McKeogh could bolster Penn State’s already strong in-state recruiting class. However, the Nittany Lions are facing competition from Notre Dame and Texas, both of which McKeogh plans to visit soon.
