West Virginia Secures Commitment from Defensive Back Simaj Hill

The Mountaineers have bolstered their future secondary with a new addition to their 2026 recruiting class. On Monday afternoon, Simaj Hill, a defensive back from St. Joseph’s Prep in Philadelphia, PA, officially flipped his commitment to West Virginia after an official visit to Morgantown over the weekend. Hill, who stands at 6’1″ and weighs 180 lbs, had originally committed to James Madison.

In addition to West Virginia, Hill had drawn interest from several programs including Buffalo, Eastern Michigan, Kent State, Liberty, Miami (Ohio), Syracuse, UConn, and Wake Forest.

“It was a great visit, I really enjoyed everything and the whole experience,” Hill said of his trip to Morgantown. “Once I visited West Virginia, I knew this was the school for me.”
