The Southeastern Conference announced the television scheduling for the Auburn Tigers’ upcoming football season on Wednesday.
Auburn is set to play guaranteed night games against Baylor for their season opener, as well as against Georgia—marking the first time this matchup has occurred at Jordan-Hare Stadium since 2012—and Ball State for Kickoff on the Plains.
The Tigers will have “Early” (11 a.m. – noon CT) games against South Alabama and Arkansas, afternoon contests against Texas A&M and Vanderbilt, and matches against Oklahoma, Missouri, Kentucky, and Alabama will fall into the “Flex” category (2:30 – 3:30 p.m. CT or 5-7 p.m. CT).
Auburn’s final non-conference game will take place a week before the Iron Bowl, kicking off at 1 p.m. CT against Mercer.

However, many Auburn fans are hoping for the Iron Bowl to be played at night. Here’s how they reacted to the “flex” announcement on X (formerly Twitter):
“Night Iron Bowl would be perfect, but it’ll probably be at 2:30,” one fan commented.
“I need the night UGA game and night Iron Bowl as much as I need air,” another tweeted.
“Why is the Iron Bowl on flex, consistently at 2:30 every year?” someone else questioned.
“I really need the Iron Bowl to be a night game,” another fan stated.
“If LSU vs. Oklahoma is the night game over the Iron Bowl, college football is finished,” another wrote.
“Why do other rivalry games have set times, but the Iron Bowl is still TBD?” another fan wondered.
This year’s Iron Bowl will take place at Jordan-Hare Stadium, marking the first visit for second-year Alabama head coach Kalen Deboer to the Plains.
The kickoff time is still to be announced, although it’s typically scheduled for 2:30 p.m. CT.
